The Outsiders Movie - Fine Youth Tale.The Outsiders Movie is about fiery youth life in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1967. It is directed by reputed Francis Ford Coppola. He made it a fine film. Based on a best seller novel of the same name by S. E. Hinton, it reveals much about youth life.First released in 1983, Outsider movie was revised and re-released in 2005 with addition of 22 minutes of movie completing the full novel.
Main cast comprises of Matt Dillon, Diane Lane and C. Thomas Howell. It has many young star cast like Tom Cruise, Patrick Swayze, Rob Lowe and Emelio Estevez. Later,they became big stars. Story centers around classy rich and poor kids. Greasers are the group of poor kids who have a hard life making their ends meet. Socs are the group of rich kids. Two Greasers unknowingly try to lure Socs girls. In a resulting confrontation a Soc kid gets killed by a greaser kid while defending. Despite knowing fully that Greaser had killed in defense only, Socs call for a rumble - an all out war between two groups. Greasers became victorious. Many youths get killed. Greasers also suffer many casualties. Its leader gets killed by police in the end. Entire film is narrated by Ponyboy, a greaser.
